History as a Story
History as a Story - History as a story is a historical event that has been reconstructed or retold based on the interpretation or memory of a person, whether a history narrator, historical writer or historian. History as a story is also the opinion of each which is the result of individual interpretations that are still intact and have not been generalized.
All human creations are evidence of living human stories and tend to be dynamic (always changing). Describing history as a story cannot be separated from historical events that have occurred in the past.
Characteristics of History as a Story
History as a story also has characteristics or characteristics, including:
1. is subjective, because history is compiled based on past memories of an individual, which means historical stories are the opinions of each person (individual) who has a different interpretation of an event. In the sense of the word the historical story described by each individual clearly has a difference.
2. Apart from being subjective, the nature of history as a story is as a means to reveal/explain events that occurred in the past.
Examples of History as Stories
1. The story of Ken Arok
Ken Arok is the founder of the Singasari kingdom, he founded this kingdom by killing the king of the Kediri kingdom, Kertajaya. Previously he had also succeeded in killing Tunggul Ametung, an Akuwu in Tumapel with a very legendary keris, namely "Keris Mpu Gandring". After successfully killing stumps Ametung, Ken Arok married the wife of stumps Ametung named Ken Dedes.
