History as Event
History as Event - History as an event is an event that occurred in the past that has occurred based on facts and is accompanied by evidence that proves that events in the past have clearly occurred. Understanding history as it happened is what is meant by history as an event.
Through these events, it can be seen the causal relationship of the occurrence of an event. With the existence of events or events within the scope of human life or society, historical science tries to compile a series of events that have occurred within the scope of human life or society from the past until now, even trying to predict future events.
Characteristics of History as Events
History as an event has properties or characteristics, namely:
1. It is objective, has an objective nature because history is based on cumulative results or the combined results of several opinions of historical writers or historians which are factual in nature where the facts must be accompanied by clear and accountable evidence.
2. Empirical in nature, has an empirical nature because history is based on human experience based on actual data or facts.

1. The Proclamation of Indonesian Independence which occurred on August 17, 1945.
2. The kidnapping of Ir Soekarno and Moh Hatta by young people to be taken to Rengasdengklok on August 16, 1945.
